Surreal Collage Studio is an art project built around investigating artworks as they are created.

The Archive of Impossible Cases documents those investigations as case files.

I begin each collage without knowing what it will become or what mystery I'm investigating. As the artwork changes, I document the clues, dead ends, red herrings, and breakthroughs. Somewhere along the way, the mystery reveals itself.

The finished artwork is the solved case.

01 · CASE OPENED
Every case begins with an image. I don't know what it means yet or where it will lead.
02 · INVESTIGATION
I follow what feels strange, wrong, or unresolved. Every meaningful change becomes evidence.
03 · MYSTERY REVEALED
Somewhere along the way, the artwork reveals the question I've actually been investigating.
04 · CASE CLOSED
The finished artwork becomes the answer. The evidence, dead ends, breakthroughs, and final piece are filed in the Archive for you to examine.
